It’s sad but I know of people who did. But they just go off the pamphlets and don’t really know anything else about the organization.

I stand (or sit, really) corrected. 
It’s a shame but not a surprise that the only advocacy groups with the money to advertise/mass-distribute propaganda are ones with predominantly reactionary structures, methods, and ideals.
